QUILTED COTTON
Quilting is a method of stitching layers of material together in a specific motif, trapping warm lining between them. It is a woven construction, often used at Cecilie Bahnsen, to allow for a display of motifs and rigid, structural volumes. Woven constructions are one of the most common constructions used by the brand as it allows for an array of motifs and looks. This particular quilted cotton is created by assembling two layers of cotton with a layer of wadding in between each layer, quilting them together. The fabric also features an embroidered hand-drawn floral motif, and a scalloped floral edge.
