With the Spring/Summer 2020 collection Cecilie Bahnsen looked to Christo and Jeanne-Claude for inspiration, the husband-and-wife artists who wrapped landmarks and landscapes in huge swathes of fabric – famously unfurling a 250.000 square-foot orange curtain across the Rifle Gap in Colorado, USA, as well as surrounding 11 islands near Miami Beach with pink woven fabric, looking like enormous pastel-coloured lili pads.
